He was silent for a minute and then said

I hesitated for a moment and then I just whipped them down and kicked them up off my feet to prove they were off. He continued watching the TV with a grin on his face. He seemed a bit shifty. I decided I better check what was on it before I set the VCR timer to record. He came up to my room, I turned off the video games and we just talked shit whilst listening to music. He said he wondered whatever happened to it. There was no Internet back then, or there was, but not like it is now.
